Product Description

The Mastercycler nexus brings reliability and ease of use along with low energy consumption when it comes to the daily routine of PCR. Easy expansion to 3 units with a small footprint fits perfectly on any lab bench. The flexlid accommodates all types of consumables, from low volume all the way up to 0.5 mL PCR tubes.

The new Mastercycler X1 combines the modern and iniutitve software with a fast 96-well silver block for increased heating and cooling rates.

Optimization of PCR performance and ease of operation are important factors when purchasing a thermal cycler. However, consideration of power consumption and noise generation has increased significance. Instruments are often continually in use or kept in standby mode over long periods of time which can increase power usage in the lab substantially. Figure 1 depicts the energy efficiency of the Mastercycler nexus both in standby mode and idle and during a typical PCR run (See application note 243 for more information).
